KIEGAN (KIKI) LEE

It's a nickname! Feel free to call me Kiegan, Kiki, or any derivative thereof. Just don't spell it wrong! (Please <3)

CALIFORNIA LOVE

I'm 23 years old, born and raised in California (Temecula, Santa Cruz, Los Angeles).Attended Aptos High School from 2013-2017 where I spent my time underachieving in AP classes, being obnoxiously talented at water polo, and becoming obsessively passionate about audio engineering.

ORIGIN STORY

In many ways, I believe I was born a musician, and have been playing piano since age 6. Funny enough, what led me to becoming a sound designer was moving to a high school with no band program.Consequently, I joined the musical theatre program as a rehearsal pianist, then board operator.
Being a board operator was so intuitive and fun to me that I took every chance I could to mix in high school; local church events, even my first professional production for the local community college production of "Fiddler on the Roof".
The experience I gained in high school made me an unsuspecting prime candidate for the BFA sound design program at USC.

DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION

In college, I got the once in a lifetime chance to be "part of the band" again, and eagerly joined the Trojan Marching Band Drumline as a cymbalist. After four amazing years with the Greatest Marching Band in the History of the Universe (Ever!), I've earned some wisdom, memories, and friends that I wouldn't trade for anything. I've travelled to Texas, Colorado, San Francisco, Chicago, and Ireland to perform with the program and will be eternally grateful for the opportunities made available me.Some notable favorite performances include "The Avengers" half-time show conducted by Alan Silvestri, playing an impromptu concert for The Offspring's Dexter Holland, and being a featured soloist on ABC's "Holey Moley".

FIGHTING ON!

After college, I'll be real, I was bouncing back from some brutal mental health issues. The pandemic began towards the end of my junior year, which made my senior year, graduation, and the post-grad transition... a struggle at best. However, as an artist of all trades, I personally revel in times where life steers me out of my ordinary path. Right now I work for lululemon, and spent much of 2021/2022 flexing my fashion muscles. When I'm not clocking in, I spend my free time gardening, rollerskating, playing keyboard, editing, making Tiktoks, writing, drawing, hugging my big fat tabby cat (Julius, he's a rescue <3), reading, playing chess, and getting endlessly distracted by the mundane joys of young adulthood.
